Testimonials 2016

Below you will find some of the extensive feedback we have received from teachers in 2016. These are responses to the question "What do you think the centre does best?"

  • The general structure and organisation of the activities the centre provides are outstanding. When compared to centres and camp facilities of this nature, Tinaroo EEC stands out for both its organisation and effectiveness of the programming for students.
  • Valuable learning opportunities for students. Action packed, full program - good use of camp time. Great facilities and well kept grounds and buildings. Excellent staff, from Principal to Groundsman. We look forward to coming to Tinaroo each year and are made to feel welcome and valued and part of the team who are working towards providing learning opportunities for students.
  • The teaching staff out here are fantastic. I felt supported the entire time I was here as a fresh face to the overnight camp. Their procedures for their programs and general preparations are fantastic.
  • The activities are very engaging and the centre's staff are highly motivated and supportive of student learning and wellbeing.
  • The centre is fantastic at encouraging the kids to be independent and challenge themselves throughout the whole day.  This included setting up the tents, general cleaning and looking after their personal belongings and all the 'after hour' activities that children must do. The website provides an easy to navigate page for teachers to plan their camp. It is very explicit and much appreciated.
  • Excellent facilities, excellent resources, very positive and encouraging towards students and support staff. They incorporate the “5 keys to success” in all activities, discussions and reflections. Incorporating technology in all aspects of the program to enhance the learning experiences (this is a particularly positive aspect of the program). The staff are highly experienced, positive and very supportive of all students and support staff.
  • The organisation and cleanliness of facilities is outstanding. Programs are well structured and planned. Students are explicitly shown how to participate, but are still encouraged to show initiative and independence.
