WW2 Signs Opened

TEEC Staff at the opening (Phil Harrison, Darryl Dilger, Wendy MacGregor, Peter MacGregor)

On Monday 20th March, the new World War 2 interpretive signs at Tinaroo EEC were officially opening by Joe Paronella, Mayor of the Tablelands Regional Council.

A large group of people, including a number of retired service personnel, local historians and members of the Anders family, attended the opening.

The five signs provide details about the Army camps around Black Gully Road during World War 2, and mark the visit of General Douglas MacArthur to the site on 5th July 1943.
