Curri Curri Hike

Lesson Purpose:

  1. ​To canoe (may be towed) and hike through the Curri Curri forest area.
  2. To stimulate interest and awareness of the structure and features of a rainforest.
  3. To observe the human impact on forests.
  4. To compare the types of forests encountered on this hike.

General Information:

Different length walking tracks can be utilised to achieve the same goals. Possible to do this hike with a student in a wheelchair.

Australian Curriculum:
During the course of this activity it may be possible to target a number of the "Content Descriptions" across year levels four to six. ​
