Hidden Forest Expedition

Lesson Purpose:

  1. A navigation exercise involving a canoe and hike through rainforest. 
  2. To find a trail using local maps. 
  3. To highlight the need for co-operation, trust, teamwork and effective communication.
  4. To work as part of a team.​​

General Comments:

Canoe and hike. Challenging navigation activity which will require group cooperation and decision making skills integrated with map and compass skills.

Australian Curriculum:

During the course of this activity it may be possible to target a number of the "Content Descriptions" across year levels six upwards.

Year 6
