Welcome to Tinaroo Environmental Education Centre (TEEC), where we believe that every student can play a part in caring for our fragile and beautiful planet. We believe that all students can learn to live in a
sustainable way that ensures they leave a small ecological footprint on our planet.
Children are growing up in an ever-changing world and need to learn to be navigators of their own life's course. We attempt to develop the
social and emotional skills required to navigate that course through a range of inspirational and motivational activities.
The motto and philosophy of this centre is encompassed in the statement:
'Learning to enjoy and care for our beautiful environment.'
We would hope that students who visit the centre enjoy the natural environment with all that it has to offer in the way of fun activities and leave with an appreciation of and understanding of the importance of caring for this environment. The environmental activities provide students with the attitude, skills and knowledge that will enable them to tread lightly on our planet.
Our range of outdoor activities assist students in extending their life skills, developing their confidence, fostering their resilience and sense of responsibility.
Tinaroo Environmental Education Centre, Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre, and Maroon Outdoor Education Centre collaborated to develop a video, highlighting the real benefits of outdoor and environmental education in ensuring the success of every student.
