Plan Ahead for Your Camp
Tinaroo Environmental Education Centre is one of Far North Queensland’s most popular destinations for school camps — and for good reason. With two campuses offering unique outdoor and environmental learning experiences, we welcome thousands of students each year.
Demand for our programs is high, and spaces often fill quickly, especially during peak school terms. We encourage schools to book their residential camps as early as possible to secure their preferred dates. Early planning helps us work with you to create the best possible experience for you and your students.
Your Camp Journey with TEEC
Every year, schools join us for unforgettable learning adventures — and we’d love to welcome your students next year!
You can submit an expression of interest when bookings open in Term 3 for the following school year. From Week 5 of Term 3 (and into early Term 4 if needed), our team reviews all requests, allocates dates, and emails schools to confirm their camp spot.
Once your date is locked in, the countdown begins! About 10 weeks before your camp, a TEEC teacher will connect with you to design a program tailored to your students — blending outdoor adventure, environmental learning, and personal growth.
As the school coordinator, your role is to get your students and staff ready for their TEEC experience. By following the Variation to School Routine process, you’ll usually cover all departmental requirements, leaving you free to focus on the fun parts: building excitement, packing bags, and getting ready for a week your students will never forget.
Day activities
You can submit an expression of interest for a day excursion program at any time during the year. Once we receive your request, our team will work with you to confirm suitable dates and times. If you have a specific date in mind — especially for the following year — your best chance of securing it is to submit your request at the beginning of Term 3. This allows us to coordinate with our camp schedule and give you the greatest choice of dates.
