Improving energy efficiency is one of the most cost-effective ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions both in Australia and around the world. Energy use is the dominant source of Australian greenhouse gas emissions, 55 per cent of total emissions are generated by the combustion of fuels to provide stationary energy. These emissions are expected to continue to grow.
