Leaders generally initiate or begin an activity within a group.
If a job needs to be done you will begin it without waiting to be told, or you will suggest a course of action.
You will also be aware that others need an opportunity and time to follow, so you don’t lecture or threaten others to do the activity that you have begun.
Tips on how to become an effective initiator
You are always looking for opportunities
You suggest activities to others
You don’t become caught in arguments
You are enthusiastic and energetic
You speak in an assertive and friendly manner
You share your ideas with others
You make the benefits clear about following you
