Lesson Purpose

  1. Gain a knowledge of the distribution, species variety and life cycle of bats.
  2. Recognise the importance of these flying mammals in our environment.
  3. Experience a close look at a number of species of live bats up close. 
  4. Learn about the rescue and care for sick and injured bats on the Atherton Tablelands region.

Instructor's Skills

Jenny McLean is the owner/driving force behind the Tolga Bat Hospital. She is actively involved in rescuing, caring for, and releasing bats on the Tablelands. 

General Comments

There is an additional $5.00 charge per student for the session. This session is offered as an evening activity during your camp. Sessions usually start at 7:30pm.
